We had a frustrating experience with another plumbing company that simply didn’t care, so finding Ron was a breath of fresh air. He is truly skilled at what he does.. the toilet and fixture installation were done beautifully and with real attention to detail. What impressed us most was that he went above and beyond without us even asking. We were planning to purchase an additional item, but Ron just took care of it. That kind of skill combined with genuine care for his customers is so hard to find. We will absolutely be calling Ron again for any future plumbing needs!
Response from the owner:Thank you for your business. Sincerely Ron and Max

Dr. Pipe Drain and Plumbing Services
Division of Osmaks Inc.
If I could give a zero stars. I would. I hired Dr. Pipe (Osmaks) in October 2023 to install two alcove-style bathtub, and tub trim, faucet and shower head in my two bathrooms. I told Maksim and Ron (his son) that after they were done, I had a tile installer booked to do the tile around the tub. During the job, they didn’t level/shim the tub, didn’t level/center the shower head line, ripped out the floor plank in front of one tub (but not the second one), and destroyed baseboards (see attached pictures). Generally, left my bathrooms a disaster. When my tile installer came to do the tile job, he notified me that the tubs were not level. I immediately contacted Dr. Pipe and Maksim gave me every excuse in the book (my floor was not straight, etc.). Although he offers “emergency 24-hour service”, he couldn’t be bothered to send someone to level my tub until Monday. Hence, my tile installer could not finish his job and I was left without the use of both my bathtubs for over a week.
After work in my basement, I had water flooding. Not once, but twice. Destroyed my brand new vanity that Dr. Pipe installed. Disrupted my tenant. Still no resolution to the damaged vanity.
Maxim Osadchyi also took $150 for the installation of the shower trim and I had to pause the project for some time. Texted him that I would let him know when he could come back to finish. No response. Then when I reached out to finish the trim or refund the $150, he refused to do either. Scamming me out of $150.
I do not recommend this company due to their unethical behaviour.
Response from the owner:Dear Alexandra,
Thank you for your review.
On October 17 and 18, 2023, we installed and tested two bathtubs at your property. Two days later, you contacted us regarding concerns about one of the tubs. During that conversation, you used abusive language and slurs, which we do not tolerate. You also relayed concerns raised by your tile and drywall contractor, whom you later dismissed, regarding the tub allegedly being out of level.
On October 23, 2023, I personally attended the site to inspect your concerns. My inspection confirmed that the bathtub had been installed level. The photographs from that visit show a properly leveled tub, while the surrounding drywall and wall surfaces were uneven and not level.
You withheld $100 for the installation of the faucet trim in the second bathroom because you had terminated your tile and drywall contractor, and there was no confirmed timeline for the completion of the remaining work. Our last site visit and conversation occurred in October 2023, nearly three years ago. Since that time, we have not received any further complaints or reports of problems related to our work.
As more than two years and eight months have passed since the project began, and the delays resulted from the site not being ready for completion on your end, we consider the agreement inactive and the project closed.
Our records indicate that the remaining installation work could not proceed due to incomplete site preparations. Accordingly, we cannot accept responsibility for the resulting delays or provide any reimbursement.
Sincerely,
Maxim Osadchyi, P.Eng.
Basement floor drain was backing up, creating a very smelly lake on the floor. Without trying to upsell me, Ron explained the options honestly, clearly, and patiently and understood that we were strapped for cash. He snaked the line, which was the least costly fix, kept at it until he was satisfied with the drainage rate, and cleaned up everything. The price was as listed on the Dr. Pipe website, and far, far better than what I was able to get other, larger, better-known plumbing companies in Ottawa to quote me over the phone. It's also worth noting that these companies charge about $90 to actually come over and give an estimate. Dr. Pipe does not. If they come over and give an estimate and you decline to have the work done at that time, they're okay with that, and there's no charge.
Overall, I was deeply impressed by Ron's competence and honesty, and his commitment when he put in extra time to make sure the job was done right.
Many Ottawa plumbers are blatantly unethical and use predatory pricing on people who are in a jam. Dr. Pipe is the opposite. I can't praise them highly enough.
Response from the owner:Thank you Barry for your business. We are family owned and operated local business and always happy to help our customers with different options and services depending on their needs and budget. Thank you kindly for your honest review. Sincerely, Ron Osadchyi and Maxim Osadchyi
The roots from the tree in our front yard had found its way into our sewer pipe. After consultation on the available options, Dr. Pipe (Max and Ron) provided their expertise in solving this issue by inserting a liner in a very timely, efficient and very professional manner. They were friendly and consciencious personnel to work with.
Response from the owner:Hi Hans. Thank you for your business. It was our pleasure to help you with roots penetration in the drain. PVC reinforce liner will protect your drain line from roots and will work perfectly for years to come
Max and his team did the Poly-b replacement for my house. They were professional and super efficient! Million thanks 🙏
Response from the owner:Hi Sophia. It was our pleasure to help you with your Poly B replacement project. Thank you for your business. Sincerely, Max, Andriy and Elvis
I had a minor plumbing panic when the tip of my toilet cleaner bottle fell off and got stuck deep in the drain. I was worried about a major clog and called Dr. Pipe Drain and Plumbing. He was incredible— He talked me through exactly what to do over the phone and reassured me that the piece was small enough that it wouldn't damage my pipes. I truly appreciate his honesty and expertise instead of him just trying to sell me a service I didn't need. I’m very grateful for the help and will definitely call them again for any future emergencies!
Response from the owner:Sammy L, thank you for your review. We’re glad we could help you over the phone and give honest advice without an unnecessary service call. We appreciate your trust and look forward to helping again if you ever need us. Sincerely, Dr. Pipe.
Ron from Dr. Pipe came to unclogged my bathtub. He was very efficient and showed up on time. I really appreciated his honesty and he was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dr.Pipe's services. Thanks for a great service!
Response from the owner:Hi Celine. Thank you for your business. Happy Holidays. Sincerely
Ron was on time, very nice and professional. Gave me options and a good price. I will use them again.
Response from the owner:Hi Aida. Thank you for the great review. Let us know if you need more plumbing services.

Leak Repair & Leak Detection in Ottawa
Undetected leaks can do a number on Ottawa residences. Plumbing leaks can cause serious water damage and result in higher-than-normal water bills. When leaks are not found and fixed sooner rather than later, they could lead to mildew and mould formation, structural damage, basement flooding, and other extensive damage.
If you suspect a water leak in your home, contact our licensed plumbing professionals in Ottawa immediately for a plumbing leak detection test. We’ll book a service call, find the source of the problem, and conduct the right leak repair to solve the issue.
Some water leaks are easy to identify. They include water pooling around a water heater or a dripping faucet. However, hidden leaks are harder to find without performing evasive procedures like excavating your foundation or tearing into walls.
The good news is that Dr. Pipe has the right tools of the trade and enough skilled plumbing professionals to conduct leak detection services. We’ll find the source of the leak and perform an effective fix rather than a mere patch-up job.
Common Leaks
There are certain areas of the home where leaks tend to occur. Our plumbing experts have experience finding and fixing leaks in the following areas:
Toilet Leaks
Toilets can leak in various ways. Some toilet leaks are easier than others to identify. Non-functional flaps or fill valves, for example, could be the source of hard-to-detect leaks.
Faucet Leaks Inside The Wall
You won’t have trouble knowing if a faucet is dripping water in a bathtub, shower, or sink. It’ll be more of a problem when hidden leaks occur behind the wall since they can cause all sorts of damage if you don’t know they’re there. That’s why you should call us about leak detection in Ottawa if you have even the slightest suspicion that there’s a leak.
Plumbing Pipe Leaks
Most of your residence’s pipes are behind your walls, which can easily conceal leaks. Behind-the-wall leaks can happen because of loosened fittings, high water pressure, or strain caused by blocked drains. Even small leaks can morph into big problems over time.
Fixture Or Appliance Leaks
Leaks from sinks in your bathroom or kitchen are often hidden away within vanities or cabinets, and dishwasher or washing machine leaks might be detected only if you move it from against the wall. Older water heaters can spring pinhole leaks that aren’t easy to detect. Unless you’re diligent about getting leak services that include pipe leak detection, you might face leak-related damage in addition to costs to fix your plumbing system.
Professional Ottawa Leak Detection & Repair
Call us at Dr. Pipe without delay if you suspect water leaks requiring water leak repair. Delay is a risk not worth taking when you consider the possible health- and financial issues that can result from plumbing leaks in Ottawa.
We have the technology and equipment to perform pipe leak detection in Ottawa before the problems worsen and cost you an arm and a leg. Using our proven methods, technology, and equipment, we’ll find the leak and repair your pipes so you can move on with life.
Signals of a Water Leak
There are some telltale signs of a water leak. Knowing what they are can help. You can shut off the water valve and call us to book an appointment.
Unexplained increase in your water bill. If your water bill unexpectedly rises 10-20%, that’s a sign you may have a hidden water leak.
Discoloured, bubbling, or peeling paint. Excess moisture from a hidden leak can impact the look and feel of paint on your ceilings or walls.
Bizarre warm areas. Run your hands against the walls. If you feel any warm areas, you could have a large, undiscovered leak.
Sound of trickling water. If you hear what sounds like trickling water coming from behind the walls of your home – when no one is using any water source — contact us immediately for water leak detection in Ottawa. If there’s a hidden leak, you need a licensed plumber to find and fix the leak in your home.
Mildew or mould. If you see mildew or mould on your walls, that indicates there’s too much dampness. Unfortunately, such a scenario suggests there may be a leak. You might sell its musty scent even before you can see the mould.
Wet drywall or floor. Wet or mouldy carpeting, flooring, or drywall is a telltale sign there’s a leak someplace.
Water meter reading. Assuming you have a readable water meter, check the reading. You’ll then need to stop using any water in your residence for two hours. After the two hours have expired, recheck the water meter. Any change in the reading will show you have a leak and need leak detection services in Ottawa. We’re a professional and licensed plumbing company helping homeowners.

FAQ: Leaks Detection in Ottawa
1. There are several marks on my ceiling below the main bathroom. How can I find out the cause of this?
If you don’t see any signs of leaking from fixtures in the bathroom, the only way to know for certain is to open the ceiling to investigate further. More than one opening might be needed for proper plumbing leak detection in Ottawa.
2. There’s a leak above my kitchen ceiling, and I know I might have to get my ceiling opened up. If this is so, do I have to repair the ceiling myself?
If there’s a leak from the ceiling, it will likely need to be opened. The plumbing technicians at Dr. Pipe can arrange to have any excavation work in the walls or ceilings fixed properly so you don’t have to deal with a large hole for too long. You won’t have to worry about the job getting half done when you need us for leak detection and repair.
3. Water continually drips from my ceiling. The taps and bathtub are not running. What are my options?
If the leak is constant or worsens, the root problem could be the water supply line. Close the main water shut-off valve and give us a call to deal with your water leaks in Ottawa. You need a professional plumber to identify the plumbing problem and fix it.
