Toilet Replacement

Limescale is a white, chalky mineral deposit that is caused by hard water. It often builds-up in tubs, shower areas, faucets; stone counters etc. and can leave these surfaces looking gray and dull. Over time, the mineral build-ups can easily damage sinks, tubs and toilets, and also make soap scum more challenging to remove. White vinegar is one of the best ingredients you can use to get rid of limescale in your bathroom. Here are some ways in which you can remove limescale:

  1. Cleaning Faucets

Soak a paper towel/rag or in vinegar and properly wrap around the faucet. Secure it in place with a hair clip or rubberband. Let it sit for an hour before you wipe the faucet clean with a thin soft cloth. Alternatively, create a paste using 3-parts of baking soda to 1-part of water. Apply this paste to the faucets, and leave it on for at least an hour, and then wipe them clean.

  1. Cleaning tubs and sinks

Spray with lemon juice or vinegar. You can also use a paste of water and cream of tartar. Let this sit for a minimum of 30 minutes before you scrub it clean with a soft cloth or a sponge.

  1. Cleaning toilets

Combine equal parts borax and white vinegar to make a solution. Drain out your toilet bowl and then pour the solution in. Leave it there for two hours before scrubbing the bowl clean using a toilet brush. Undiluted white vinegar can also be added to the full toilet bowl before you scrub it clean. You can keep the toilet tank clean by pouring some undiluted vinegar to it too.

  1. Cleaning shower doors and glass partitions in the bathroom

Spraying white vinegar on the shower doors and glass partitions can help remove the mineral stains left behind by hard water. You can also use some leftover white wine to remove the buildup of limescale from glass.

You can prevent the buildup of limescale in your bathroom by regularly washing it with a vinegar solution.
